# Access & Onboarding - Using a shared/service account

**Symptoms**

* You'd rather connect SCMs and run automation under a shared account than a specific person's account.

**Likely cause**

Personal accounts tie integrations and tokens to one individual, which is fragile when people change roles.

**Resolution**

1. Have your administrator invite a dedicated user to act as the service account (see [User Management](/mobb-user-docs/administration/user-management.md)).
2. Use that account to create the SCM connections and access tokens your automation needs.
