# Scanning & Upload - Upload fails due to file name

**Symptoms**

* Upload or analysis fails, and the only thing unusual is the report/source file name.

**Likely cause**

Certain characters (spaces or special characters) in the report or archive file name can interfere with upload/processing.

**Resolution**

1. Rename the report and source archive to simple names without spaces or special characters (for example, `report.fpr`, `source.zip`).
2. Re-upload and run the analysis again.
